On Sunday, November 24th, New Found Glory announced that they have been forced to cancel the final two dates on their From the Screen to Your Stereo to Your Town Tour due to a family emergency.

The band took to social media to break the news in a statement. “Hey everyone, need your thoughts & prayers or whatever you do in tough times,” guitarist Chad Gilbert wrote in a tweet. “I’m having to fly out quickly because of a family emergency. Because of this we will be unable to play the last 2 shows of the tour but plan to reschedule these dates as soon as possible. Family first with NFG. We love you all. Thank you for the support.”

It has also been reported that the shows scheduled on November 25th at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina, and November 26th at the Saturn in Birmingham, Alabama will be rescheduled.

The tour in support of the movie covers EP From The Screen To Your Stereo 3 kicked off on November 2nd at George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

“My stepfather, Steve Mallonee, is a retired Miami Beach firefighter, loved and adored by many. After numerous years of heroic work, saving lives through fire and heavy smoke, he has developed a very fatal lunge disease called Pulmonary Fibrosis,” Gilbert says. “While I was on the road, it started escalating at a rapid rate. Normally, I would have kept this more private. However, we wanted to give our fans a bit of insight into what happened and why we had to end this tour early. I’m so thankful for all of our fans and their incredible love and support.”
