End of the Work Week Sports Headlines

We’re not too far away from the least exciting sports time of the year with football over and basketball being in the middle of the season, but for now there is plenty to talk about in the world of sports. Here’s what’s going on these days…

Notre Dame has hired on a former player to coach quarterbacks in 2017. The team has hired a few new names this offseason and has added former quarterback Tommy Rees to help coach on the team.

The ACC released their in-conference schedules for their football teams and one coach isn’t happy at all. Paul Johnson, the Georgia Tech Head Coach, was upset about the fact they were going to be playing multiple teams coming off a bye. He was very vocal about it and could face a fine because of it.

In the world of college basketball, top teams around the country continue to lose. On Wednesday night alone we saw three ranked teams lose to unranked opponents. Georgetown beat Creighton, Georgia Tech beat Florida State and USC beat UCLA. The one common variable here was that all three teams were upset on the road.
