Elle King & Miranda Lambert Slated to Open 2021 ACMAs

On Tuesday, April 13th, it was announced by the Academy of Country Music that on Sunday, April 18th, Miranda Lambert and Elle King will open the ACM Awards by performing “Drunk (and I Don’t Wanna Go Home).” The two singers shared an ACM Award last year for music event of the year for an all-star female cover version of Elvin Bishop’s 1976 classic “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.”

It was also announced Tuesday that Lady A will join the lineup, as will Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, who also happen to be the recipients of new female and male artist of the year.

The 56th ACM Awards will air live on Sunday, April 18 (8 to 11:00 p.m., live ET/delayed PT) on CBS. The show will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
