Elizabeth Banks and “Women in Comedy” on YouTube

Elizabeth Banks is a terrific actress, starring in outstanding films like ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin,’ all the ‘Pitch Perfect’ movies and a few of the ‘Hunger Games’ movies. Now she’s taking on social media in a way that fits her perfectly.

Elizabeth Banks is a key ingredient in the YouTube “Women in Comedy” initiative, bringing her digital media company WhoHaHa to enact something that’s never been done before. Said differently, YouTube’s “Women in Comedy” will be reviewing applicants for acceptance into the program, with a few requirements; one requirement is that the candidate must have a minimum of 10,000 followers. Elizabeth and the YouTube team will mentor female comedians, empowering women behind and in front of the camera.

Think if it as Elizabeth Banks mentoring rising stars on the YouTube social media platform. The project will come to fruition in 2018
