As we’ve written before, actors often times want to be on stage with a guitar in hand, musicians want to be heartthrob stars in movies. Well, Elton John made an appearance in the ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ a while ago, so it’s only fitting that Taron Egerton, the charming and engaging ‘Eggsy,’ in both Kingsman movies, will star as a young Elton in the film Rocketman.
Rocketman, a biopic project sought actor Taron for the part, as the production needed a cast an actor that would play Elton from age 18 forward.
Elton was a student at the Royal Academy of Music at that age, a time that dramatically shaped his direction. Rocketman will be produced by Matthew Vaughn, the man who directed the Kingsman movies; the cast and crew expect to be on location in May or early June.
