Ed Sullivan’s Back and He Brought Footage

The Ed Sullivan show was the springboard for many stars; The Beatles, Rolling Stones, all the Motown acts like the Supremes and Temptations all used the nationally televised program to maximize their marketing opportunities. Now you can buy a series of DVDs featuring high-def video footage of classic Ed Sullivan Show performances of those just mentioned and more beginning May 25th.

There will be a series of DVD collections on Elvis Presley in the offering called ‘The 3 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring Elvis Presley’ and features the of Presley’s performances on the show. Included are ‘The 4 Complete Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Beatles,’ in a two-DVD set, showcasing the four programs the Beatles appeared, and ‘The Best of The Supremes on The Ed Sullivan Show’ features the Supremes performances as well. Finally, the ‘Best of The Temptations on The Ed Sullivan Show’ features the Temptation appearances from the group from 1967 to 1971.

In all, there will be six DVD collections, again available May 25th.
