Ed Sheeran’s recent releases have been huge hits since they were released and this week they made charts in Australia. “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill” debuted at number one and two on the ARIA Singles Chart this week, something that had never been done before.

“Shape of You” is his third number one hit, joining “Thinking Out Loud” and “Sing” as his others since 2014. With these two songs becoming huge hits in Australia, his previous albums have been moving up the charts. In many cases, new hits make fans listen to old albums. “X” moved from 45 to 9 on the ARIA Albums Chart this week while “+” finished at number 32.

Ed Sheeran’s upcoming album, “Divide,” will be released on March 3.
