Spa Bathrooms are all the rage these days, and with this hectic world closing in on us more and more, why not find a small bit of bliss where you can? And yes, while a full bathroom remodel into something worthy of a Dubai resort can get real pricey, real fast, there are plenty of small changes you can make to turn your loo into your steamy escape zone.

  1. Switch out your shower head. A really great shower head makes such a huge difference. They’re not expensive. Try a rain showerhead, round and oversized, so you have that feeling that of being in a spa shower.
  2. A Speaker is a must. Sonos is great, but go try ‘em out and see which one you like best.
  3. A beautiful Caddy is very important. Try substituting your current chrome shower caddy for teak, as well as adding a teak tub caddy to store products and pick up on the wood in the room. Wooden toilet seats can also lend that Caribbean flair.
  4. Real furniture or Rugs are great touches in the bathroom. For the floor, put in a tightly woven seagrass, which is water-resistant, cut-to-fit around the fixtures to cover up a less-than-great floor without having to rip it out. Then: a wooden stool, a Moroccan rug, and a drawing or painting to look at and savor.
  5. Crystal light fixtures and Candles, of course. Keep the wicks short to avoid blackening the ceiling.
  6. Plants are a fantastic touch in bathrooms, and with the warmth and steam, you can go tropical no matter where you live. Succulents are also super hardy and last a really long time.
  7. And lastly… Just one beautiful Quartz Crystal. The quartz is the mama of all crystals, and ultimately protects your space from negative energy.

These not excruciatingly expensive touches will make everything you’re looking at when you’re lying here feel lovely and calm. You have a beautiful caddy. You have a beautiful curtain. You have a beautiful light. And it smells awesome. Bliss, here you come.
