Drew Barrymore is Proud of Fellow Angel, Lucy Liu

Back in July, Lucy Liu told of how, during the 2000 production of Charlie’s Angels, Bill Murray insulted the actress with a “hurl of insults.” Liu didn’t just let it slide, though. 

“I stood up for myself,” she explained, “and I don’t regret it.” 

Earlier this week, another Angel reflected on how she didn’t hesitate to have Liu’s back. Drew Barrymore, in a recent interview, told of how she was proud of her friend’s agency and how it inspired the same amongst the other women on set.

“We were strong and we moved forward,” Barrymore explained of the way the Angels cast and crew came together in support, “we didn’t accept anything less moving forward.”
