Drew Barrymore Celebrates Her Birthday by Going Makeup-Free: “This Is 47”

Drew Barrymore turned 47 years old on Tuesday! To celebrate getting older with grace, she posted a makeup-free selfie on Instagram.

“This is 47,” she captioned the post, snapshotting reality from her bathroom.

Many famous, female friends of Barrymore posted their love in the comments.

Reese Witherspoon wrote, “Happy Birthday, you Magical Creature!!! I LOVE YOU! 💖always have, always will.”

“Happy birthday queen!! 🙌❤️😍” wrote Naomi Watts, while fitness guru Tracy Anderson also gave the Never Been Kissed actress a “Happy Birthday.”

“I think today is my best day so far,” Barrymore shared about being her current age without longing for her younger years. “I am so proud of it because I’m so much calmer, wiser, smarter… and I’m still an idiot, and still have so much to learn.”

“We should look inside ourselves rather than looking out to these impossible standards that have made many a woman crazy. I just think the more confident you are, the more beautiful you are, at any age,” she said.
