Recently, we’ve had many issues to discuss surrounding police violence. Over the last few days civilians like Alton Sterling and Philando Castile have been shot and killed by police officers. We aren’t going to sit here and put the blame on anyone because at this time we just don’t know the evidence, but we do wish that these instances never happened. What we do see after these events is outreach from artists everywhere.
Two artists that have gone on record as to speak out for the Black Lives Matter campaign are Beyonce and Drake. These two have voiced their concerns and issues with these recent deaths via social media and are definitely worth taking a look at. Both are concerned with the relationship with the black community and police and want these wrongs to be righted. We can’t blame them and hope that whatever the issue is between these two can be worked out peacefully in whatever fashion that is needed.
