Have you gone out and see Doctor Strange yet? Well, it’s dominating the box office still even after its second week being available. It brought in $43 million in its second week of being out to the public. In total, the movie has generated over $150 million in two weeks at the box office. Those are some huge numbers compared to box office numbers over the past few weeks and months.
Trolls came in at number two this week, bringing in $35 million, while the number three movie from the weekend was Arrival. This sci-fi movie generated $24 million in its debut.
Analysts are saying that this year’s box office numbers are up almost 50% from last year at this same time! We wonder if people just want to get away from all the outside noise on social media and on television and that’s why they’re going to the movies.
