World-renowned actor Megan Fox defeated multi-platinum-selling music mogul DJ Khaled in front of more than 1 Million total viewers on Wednesday night, in a 90-minute Fortnite battle to kick off LG Electronics USA’s Only On OLED, a campaign featuring exclusive events and moments in gaming, sports and movies on LG’s critically acclaimed LG OLED TVs.
Live streamed on professional esports team Evil Geniuses’ Twitch Channel, DJ Khaled was coached by Evil Geniuses talent Justin “FearItSelf” Kats, while champion Megan Fox was supported by legendary Evil Geniuses Counter-Strike coach Wilton “Zews” Prado. LG Smart TV owners now have exclusive access to behind-the-scenes moments, additional content from the Showdown between Megan and DJ Khaled, plus the ability to watch it whenever they’d like on LG’s exclusive FOMO Channel app. Future Celebrity Gaming Showdown participants and battles will be announced throughout the year.
The two superstars engaged in playful smack talk leading up to and during the competition, and the pair was even joined by Megan’s rockstar boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly during the event, who helped cheer her on as she took down DJ Khaled. Despite losing to Khaled in Round 1, Megan ultimately came out on top in Round 2 and 3, crowning her the Fortnite winner.
