Denim Trends Taking Over this Fall

From classic high-rise straight legs to retro denim minis; the resurgence of skinny jeans and more, here are the six denim trends for Fall 2019 that the folks at Popsugar Fashion say you’re about to see everywhere. And here’s the kicker – they look great on all shapes and sizes!

Fall 2019 Denim Trend: Cut Hem

As past seasons have brought us fringe hems, raw hems, every kind of distressed edging possible, we’re ringing in this back-to-school season with the simplest hemline solution in existence. Seen here on Jeanne Damas before Stella McCartney’s Fall/Winter 2019/2020 show during Paris Fashion Week, cut hem jeans quite literally look as though the jeans just had a pair of scissors taken to them before they were hung on the rack, it has that unfinished and casual style while also remaining understated and timeless.

Fall 2019 Denim Trend: High-Rise Straight-Leg

The high-rise straight-leg jean is a classic that isn’t going anywhere this Fall. Consider it the one to own,if you only buy one pair. The difference as we enter the last leg of 2019, though, is that the style is trending a little bit more tailored and a little bit less “mom jean” style. Consider this one the streamlined and elegant version of a boyfriend jean: the throw-on-and-go that you can wear with everything from a statement blouse and heels to a vintage graphic T-shirt and sneakers.

And the ’90s trend of the moment is . . . drumroll please . . . the denim mini. Sure, we love a fancier silhouette of the same wardrobe essential, but this Fall, we’re particularly loving the cutoff classic. With a mid-thigh length and casual vibe that comes straight from a pair of vintage men’s jeans, it’s the resurgence in denim trends that we’ve all been long awaiting.
