Daniel Radcliffe to Play Weird Al Yankovic in Upcoming Biopic

Daniel Radcliffe, most known as the star of the Harry Potter franchise, is set to portray “Weird Al” Yankovic in an upcoming Roku-exclusive biopic about the parody artist’s life.

“I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for,” Yankovic joked in a playful statement announcing the casting.

According to a press release, the film, written by Yankovic and Eric Appel, “holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.”

Production is slated to begin in February in Los Angeles, California.
