One of the co-writers of “Monsters, Inc.,” Daniel Gerson, has passed away at a very early age. At just the age of 49, his death was a tragic one, but unfortunately was not a surprise. He had battled brain cancer for some time now and fought a tough battle.

On Saturday, he passed away, but forever more you’ll never be able to take away some of his amazing work. He played a major part in “Monster, Inc.,” but also worked on “Inside Out,” “Up, Chicken Little,” and “Meet the Robinsons.”

Interestingly enough, he was also a voice actor in “Big Hero 6” and “Monsters, Inc.” While Gerson was a man we likely wouldn’t have been able to pick out of a crowd, we can all say we’ve seen his work before.
