Music stars are famous and rich, but are people just like you and I. It seems life doles out happiness and sadness in equal portions regardless of how many hit records you have, or how famous you might be.

Craig Morgan’s 19 year old son, Jerry Greer, has been found dead after what authorities are calling a boating accident Sunday afternoon. Jerry and a friend were tubing on the Tennessee River in Humphreys Country when they collided, one of the teenagers surfaced, yet the other did not. Both youths were wearing life jackets at the time of the mishap. Jerry recently graduated from Dickson High School, and is one of three sons he has with wife Karen.

Craig was involved in a near tragedy in February of 2011, pulling two children out of a burning home in Dickson, TN, their home town, praised as a hero. He helped arriving fire officials put out the near fatal fire.

Our thoughts are with Craig Morgan and his family.
