Coldplay had an amazing 2016 and when Billboard released their top earner’s list for the year we were completely expecting them to be on it. Well, they’re on hit and they’re quite high! Coldplay came in at number six with $32.3 million generated in 2016.
Their big bucks came from touring, which isn’t surprising at all. They were selling out dates left and right because of their great music and ability to wow us live. $26 million came from touring while $1.4 million came from sales, $2.2 million from publishing and $2.7 million from streaming. They had a great year didn’t they?!
Other rockers to make the list were Guns N’ Roses and Bruce Springsteen at two and three on the chart. Here’s a look at the entire top 10 list!
