Despite not touring their penultimate album, Everyday Life, for environmental reasons, Coldplay has just announced that they will be touring Music of the Spheres in a global and sustainable journey with each show powered exclusively by renewable energy.

“We’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible,” the genre-melding band explained in their statement. “We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn.”

Energy for the upcoming 2022 tour will be powered by solar installations at every venue, a kinetic stadium floor, repurposed waste cooking oil, and even kinetic bikes powered by fans attending the shows. The Music of Spheres World Tour will begin in Costa Rica on March 18th.
