On June 26, the biggest and best in hip hop and R&B music will be celebrated at the 2016 BET Awards. Every big name in the business is up for an award it seems like and there are plenty of performances on tap for what should be an amazing night.

Drake has the most nominations of all involved, but Beyonce and Rihanna aren’t too far behind. Drake’s “Hotline Bling” has helped him receive nine nominations while the two powerful women, Beyonce and Rihanna, each received five nominations.

Let’s take a look at two R&B specific awards…

For Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, we have plenty of talente artists in contention for the hardware. Chris Brown will be going up against Tyrese, The Weeknd, Bryson Tiller, and Jeremih.

For Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Adele receives a surprise nomination, but not to us. Her music reached almost every genre and has stunned us all with its brilliance. She’ll be going up against stiff competition including Rihanna, K. Michelle, Beyonce, and Andra Day.
