Chloe and Mikaela Win Gold For U.S.A.

The United States is being represented by some of the finest athletes in the world, many of them young women who have spent years working towards their goals of representing their country in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. And did our women seize the moment, as Olympic stars Chloe Kim and Mikaela Shiffrin have earned gold in their perspective sports, surprising the world with talent and youthful energy.

Chloe won the gold medal this week in snowboarding, becoming the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding medal at the age of 17. She has an interesting backstory; her parents emigrated from Korea, settling in Los Angeles.

Mikaela earning gold in giant slalom, her parents moved from the Northeast to Colorado because of their love of skiing. Mikaela is 22 years old and is the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history.

Chloe and Mikaela are strong powerful women who are at the beginning of their life’s journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.
