Cher has had a busy year; she appeared in the latest ‘Mamma Mia’ franchise film, announced that she’s about to get into the studio and record an entire album of ABBA covers, and now she’s going to be honored as a Kennedy Center Honoree this December.

The Kennedy Center Honor is one of the most prestigious awards anyone can receive, given to those who have distinguished themselves in the arts, science, political and business world.
