Cheap Trick’s leads singer and frontman Robin Zander used social media to tell fans that the band is currently working on a new album, details on release date and tracklist will be coming soon. The band is busy this summer with a lengthy tour, but his news gives us a chance to share our opinion on what we think the best Cheap Trick tunes are; we think you’ll agree with our selection…

“Surrender” turned out to a turning point song for the band, given the song’s pithy lyrics and Rick Nelson hook.

“The Flame” brought new fans to the band with its release in the mid-80s, and in particular female fans who demanded their boyfriends take them to the live shows.

“I Want You to Want Me” became an anthem of sorts from the ‘Live at Budokan’ LP, and has been covered by a few artists as well.
