The APRA awards are given each year in Australia, and wouldn’t you know that Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes are nominated to win the coveted honor. All three have been nominated for the “International Work of the Year,” while Chainsmokers and Coldplay received nominations for “Something Just Like This” and native son Vance Joy has been nominated for “Lay It On Me.”

Much like American awards, the APRA honors the artists that have great success on the Australian music charts. The ‘Song of the Year’ nominees are “Fallin” by Jessica Mauboy, “Firewood and Candles’ from Paul Kelly, “Running Second’ by Ainslie Wills, “Weekends” by the favorite Amy Shark, and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back’ by Shawn Mendes. The ARPA Awards are scheduled for April 10th in Sydney, Australia.
