Celebrating Twenty One Pilots One Last Time in 2016

Twenty One Pilots have released four albums in their time as a rock duo, but their latest is easily their best. “Blurryface” came out in May of 2015, but 2016 really was their year. The release of their three huge hits, “Heathens,” “Ride” and “Stressed Out,”O made people award of their greatness this year.

“Blurryface” took home the award for the Album of the Year at the Alternative Press Music Awards and that wasn’t it. Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph have done quite well in 2016, winning awards at the Billboard Music, iHeartRadio Music, Kerrang!, MTV Europe Music, and MTV Video Music among others. They’re also up for Grammy Awards because of their hits “Stressed Out” and “Heathens.”

Amazingly, of the band’s 35 award nominations and 13 awards won, 29 and 13 of them came off of their “Blurryface” album’s success. What a year it has been for Twenty One Pilots. We expect more of the same in 2017.
