The Canadian Football League isn’t really talked about a whole lot if you live in the United States, but on Monday something happened that had everyone talking. Art Briles was hired on by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as Assistant Head Coach Offence. This move was an interesting one and has everyone wondering why?
If you follow the CFL, you know that the Tiger-Cats are the worst team in the league having a record of 0-8. So, this kind of move isn’t surprising from a talent and success standpoint. People are upset though because of his negative issues at Baylor. He was fired at Baylor for being a part of their sexual assault scandal.
This kind of hiring is certainly questionable and makes you wonder how far a team will go to win football games. It was questioned so much that the CFL actually reversed the decision Hamilton made in hiring Briles and will not be allowing him to coach for them. What a whirlwind Monday was for Briles, Hamilton and the CFL!
