As of last night, the Boston Red Sox have defeated the New York Yankees in the American League Wild Card Game. The Red Sox’s offense was able to knock out Yankee’s top pitcher, Gerrit Cole, after only two innings. Xander Bogaerts and Alex Verdugo were the stars of the evening, driving in five of the Red Sox’s six runs.

Now, the Red Sox travel to Tampa Bay to face the Rays in the ALDS as the post-season continues.

Tonight is the National League Wild Card Game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St Louis Cardinals. Multiple Cy Young winner Max Scherzer will begin the game for the Dodgers, facing long-time Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright. The winner of the NL Wild Card Game will play the San Francisco Giants in the NLDS.
