U2’s Bono recently made the news for an investment he’s made. He and Edge have invested in a food-tech startup from Ireland called Nuritas. The company deploys artificial intelligence, along with DNA to develop food supplements and synthetic drugs.

2016 was a fruitful year for Bono, having toured world-wide, receiving Glamour Magazine’s ‘Man of the Year’ award and touring.

Let’s get to know Bono a bit more… His real name is Paul David Hewson, but he took the name of a convenience store in Northern Ireland called Bona Vox Yes Latin livers, it means “good voice.” In 2007, Bono was knighted ‘Sir’ by the Queen. In music, Bono has earned 22 Grammy awards, with the distinction of winning 2 Golden Globe and 6 MTV awards. Perhaps the award Bono is most proud of his Nobel Peace Prize, bestowed him in 2008.

Bono owns 1.5% of Facebook. Well, that may not sound like much, but it’s actually worth about one ‘B’ billion dollars.
