There has been a lot of singing going on at the Kelly Clarkson Show. But, would we have expected anything else?

On Tuesday, October 15th, Ben Platt made an appearance on the talk show and they sang an incredibly emotional rendition of  Bob Dylan’s 1997 “Make You Feel My Love”.

Clarkson preached to Platt, “sing!” while he put some of his soul into the tune, with the pair wearing it all together on the third verse and then scaling up to new heights on the fourth, with Clarkson adding some soaring improvisations as the song revved up to a boiling point before resolving to a sweet harmony.

The emotional ballad from Dylan’s Time Out of Mind album was in good hands with the pair, as Clarkson kicked the tune off in her signature smoky tone over a haunting piano and spare guitar backing.

Listen to the breathtaking duet here.
