Baltimore Ravens in 1st Place, Boston Red Sox Move On

The beginning of this week has been eventful in sports! The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Indianapolis Colts in overtime on Monday Night Football. The Ravens were down 22-3 before Lamar Jackson had an offensive explosion as he threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns. The Ravens sit atop the AFC North in 1st place.

In baseball, the #1 seed Tampa Bay Rays were defeated by the Boston Red Sox 6-5 on Monday night, eliminating one of the World Series favorites from the playoffs. The Red Sox hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 9th inning at Fenway Park, winning the series 3-1. They will enter the ALCS with lots of confidence as they await their opponent, either the Houston Astros or the Chicago White Sox.
