Backstreet’s AJ Goes Country?

One of the most successful ‘boy band’s in the 90s was a group called the ‘Backstreet Boys’ consisting of AJ McLean, Howie D., Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell. The boys have been in Vegas for a residency recently, and have extended that relationship from three dates in July, six dates in August, three in October, and nearly 10 dates in November.

This week we’ve learned that AJ McLean has joined the Country Music Association in Nashville, and talking about a solo career. Did you know one of the Backstreet Boys is thinking about country music? It’s not that farfetched, given the boys and the country group Florida Georgia Line combined on a tune in 2016 called “God, Your Mama, and Me.” AJ McLean and his management team are expected to make an official announcement about his solo career within a few weeks.
