Aretha Reportedly ‘Gravel Ill’ Surrounded by Family and Friends in Motown

One of America’s treasures Aretha Franklin is reportedly gravel ill, surrounded by those that love her and have been by her side all her life. Aretha’s family in the Motor City confirmed our worst fears, her family asking for prayers and privacy. Aretha turned 76 in March, and although it’s true that she has been battling health problems for a few years, she’d still be able to perform. Aretha did not appear at the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival earlier in the year, a real tell that something was up.

Selling over 100 million records, Aretha has earned 18 Grammy’s, being nominated for 44 Grammy awards, and was the first solo performer woman to be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We will keep you updated on her condition, God Bless you Aretha.
