Aretha Franklin awoke the other day to find out that she had died, again! She put down her coffee and laughed out loud (we’re guessing), it seems that every six months someone tells a reporter, tweets, or posts on their Facebook page that she died. Well, Aretha is here to tell you that she’s alive and well, and busy these days…

Her new album ‘A Brand New Me: Aretha Franklin with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’ was released last week, and she is starring in an upcoming YouTube documentary detailing how she made the record. The LP has a few modernized versions of her classic tunes, a few new releases, and a few surprises. The album is a real treat; imagine the best Aretha with the best orchestra?!
