There are reports out that are saying that by the end of this year we could be seeing more than just music as a part of Apple Music. They are planning on adding original television as well as movies to their service. With about 20 million music lovers subscribed to Apple Music, this could be just the trick to increase its subscriptions.
Scripted television is reportedly the first thing on the docket for Apple before moving on to movies. This would be a huge move for Apple because it immediately puts them in the same realm of streaming media as Amazon, HBO and Netflix. Apple Music definitely has its perks, but by adding this kind of content, it could potentially move them above and beyond some of the other streaming movie services.
