Andrew McCutchen Traded to the Giants

The Pirates made the big move to trade Gerrit Cole, their ace, the other day and now they have traded their best bat. They have traded Andrew McCutchen to the San Francisco Giants for Kyle Crick and Bryan Reynolds.

This is a huge move that should help a Giants lineup that was quite average at best last year. You may not remember but the Giants traded for third baseman Evan Longoria not too long ago as well. With the Giants finishing with just 64 wins last season, they should easily see an increase in wins in 2018.

McCutchen only has one more season left on his contract, where he will make just under $15 million. He was the NL MVP in 2013 and hit 28 home runs in 2017.
