We know what the Grammy, People’s Choice, and Brit awards are in the music industry, but have you ever heard of the Billboard Touring Awards? These awards are designed to honor artists, executives, roadies, marketing and business professionals in the live entertainment industry.
Guns N’ Roses are in the finals for three categories in the 2017 Billboard Touring Awards held November 14th, at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel in Hollywood. The boys in the band are nominated for ‘Top Tour,’ ‘Top Draw,’ and ‘Top Boxscore’ categories.
Coldplay is nominated for ‘Top Draw’ (best attended) and the ‘Top Tour’ awards, (biggest money-making tour of the year) One of the most prestigious awards is the ‘Top Boxscore’ award, which recognizes the one live night by an artist that drew the highest gross money; U2 has also been nominated for this award.
Finally, the Foo Fighters are in the running for the ‘Concert Marketing & Promotion Award,’ (amongst four others nominated) for their efforts this year. The Billboard Touring Awards are Tuesday, November 14th in Beverly Hills.
