The MLB offseason was an odd one with many of baseball’s best free agents still having yet to be signed to a big league contract even though spring training has already begun. Some have joked that you could put together all of the free agents and field a better team than some real teams in baseball.
There is plenty of pitching to be signed still as Jake Arrieta, Lance Lynn, Alex Cobb, and Greg Holland are still free agents while the list of free agent hitters is quite nice as well.
Who wouldn’t want guys like Mike Moustakas, Jonathan Lucroy, Neil Walker, Carlos Gonzalez, Jon Jay and Lucas Duda on their squad? While the hitter’s list isn’t as impressive as the pitchers, each of these names above could help every big league squad. We’ll see if any of them get signed this week, which wouldn’t be all that surprising at all.
