Amy Schumer is one funny comedian and she’s certainly been paid like one. She received $11 million for her comedy special that is on Netflix. Rumor has it though that she asked for more money though when she discovered what Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle made for their Netflix specials. That number was $20 million and boy did that cause a lot of negative publicity for Schumer.
Schumer has replied to those that say that she just isn’t as funny as those two male comedians by saying she never asked for the same pay as them. She called them legends and “2 of the greatest comics of all time.” Schumer does point out though that she has been selling out her shows and how that has never been done before by a female comedian. At the end of her Instagram post she says, “The reports of me ‘demanding’ or ‘insisting’ on equal pay to them aren’t a true. #fat #stealsjokes.”
