Alter Bridge’s ‘Walk the Sky’ Earns First No. 1

Rock band Alter Bridge has finally had an album on the rock charts. On a chart dated November second, the quartet’s sixth studio set, debuts at No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart. According to Nielsen Music, The LP also launches atop Hard Rock Albums.

On Hard Rock Albums, Walk the Sky is the band’s second No. 1, following The Last Hero. Additionally, the new LP’s No. 2 rank on Alternative Albums ties Alter Bridge’s previous best, established by both The Last Hero and 2010’s AB III.

Each of its other studio albums outside of debut LP One Day Remains, which precedes Top Rock Albums’ existence, debuted in the tally’s top five. Alter Bridge previously peaked at a No. 2 high on Top Rock Albums with The Last Hero. On the Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart dated October 5th, Walk the Sky’s lead single, “Wouldn’t You Rather,” hit No. 18 on the charts.
