What’s better than a weekend of the watching the best four college basketball teams compete for the national championship? Aerosmith in concert in Phoenix at the same event! The boys in the band will be part of a three day music festival in Phoenix, on stage this weekend, joined by Blink 182 and the hottest bands in the land.
Here are a few things you may not know about the band…
Only one LP was recorded without the original member lineup, ‘Rock in a Hard Place.’ Joe and brad are not on the album, and it’s not considered a top Aerosmith effort.
As always the case in real life, the band only #1 single was not one of your favorite rock songs, rather the ballad “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from the Armageddon movie. They did have a song on the charts for four decades.
Finally, when Steven Tyler took the ‘American Idol’ gig in 2010, the band thought they would have to replace Steven to get back on the road. They gave serious consideration to Sammy Hagar as the lead singer, which never came to fruition.
