Adele Named Songwriter of the Year

This year we will be seeing plenty of hardware given to Adele and it’s all starting to begin. Adele has won the Songwriter of the Year award from Ivor Novello Awards.

Adele won the award because of her work on her latest album, “25.” Many have said that writer’s block played a huge part in the time between albums, but boy has she dominated with songs like “Hello” and others.

The interesting thing is that Adele won this very award on her first album, “21.” She was not in attendance to receive the award on Wednesday night due to playing a concert in Switzerland.
