Back in November 2018, HGTV announced plans to restore the Brady Bunch House to its peak 1970’s glory. Last year, the home improvement network outbid singer Lance Bass and purchased the famous Studio City, California, house that was used for exterior shots in the ‘70s sitcom.

Since then, there have been A Very Brady Renovation updates here and there, including a couple of digital mini-series and a nationwide scavenger hunt to locate furniture and decor pieces fit for the Brady House.  Now HGTV has announced that the long awaited renovation is officially complete.

For the renovation, the network rallied the show’s six TV siblings — Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) — and filmed the whole process for an upcoming show called “A Very Brady Renovation.”

On hand to help with the work were HGTV stars including Jonathan and Drew Scott (“Property Brothers”), Mina Starsiak and Karen E Laine (“Good Bones”), siblings Leanne and Steve Ford (“Restored by the Fords”), Jasmine Roth (“Hidden Potential”) and Lara Spencer (“Flea Market Flip”).

“This whole show is filled with so much love,” McCormick told TODAY in April.  Each TV sibling was in charge of renovating a specific room in the home, re-creating the look from the iconic set.  “(The designers) are very specific about what goes in the house,” Plumb told TODAY. “They’re trying to make it look exactly like the set, down to the wallpaper.”

There’s a replica floating staircase that looks exactly like it did in the show, and you’ll even spot a horse statue on the credenza — in fact, the cast did a nationwide search for retro items to furnish the house.  The backyard also has a very familiar/nostalgic feel, down to the swingset and even the doghouse!

According to HGTV.com, the reveal was an emotional experience for everyone because of how similar it looked to the original set. McCormick reportedly kept saying, “I feel like I’m on Stage 5 at the Paramount lot.”  For more exclusive behind-the-scenes info from the day, check out HGTV.com.  And you’ll be able to see the full transformation of the house when “A Very Brady Renovation” premieres on HGTV in September.

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show May Be Going Off The Air

The big broadcast bacchanal that was the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show may be no more, at least as we've known it for the last two decades.
