The Beatles, Beach Boys, Elvis and Rolling Stones have hundreds of songs that hit the charts. The Syndicate of Sound, Steam, and Vanilla Fudge hit the charts only once. Let’s shine the light on a few one-hit wonders whose songs you’ll easily remember..

Carl Douglas warned us that everyone would be “Kung Foo Fighting” in 1974, but did anyone listen?
Yours is a “Tainted Love” warned Soft Cell. They still tour the UK for outdoor festivals to play that song.

“Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles was the 1st song played on that new music video channel MTV. That made the song famous forever.

Terry Jacks gave us “Seasons in the Sun” in 1974, and went cold as December.

Norman Greenbaum wrote the tune “Spirit in the Sky” and the song broke through the charts in the 70s. Hollywood’s used the song countless times in popular film.

Finally, Steam gave us the ultimate sports anthem “Na Na Na Na, Heh Hey” which can be heard at every sporting event across the world. Sadly, Gary DeCarlo died in June of this year.
