If you’re a fan of the country/rock band ‘The Outlaws,’ this news will make you smile. The Outlaws Double live album “Legacy Live” to be released this Friday.
‘Legacy Live’ will contain two CDs, filled with the hits that made them famous. You’ll hear’Ghost Riders,’ ‘Green Grass & High Tides Forever,’ ‘There Goes Another Love Song,` and ´Freeborn Man’ among many others on the offering. Other hits you’ll see included are more recent tunes like ‘It´s About Pride,’ ‘Hidin’ Out In Tennessee’ and ‘So Long.’
Like most southern rock bands, The Outlaws began their musical journey in Tampa, FL in the late 60s, cranking out rock and roll that reflected the times and southern rock genre. The band has always been in the shadows of Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top, but has earned its celebrity the hard way; touring and recording great rock that spoke to a different generation. “Green Grass and High Tides” their biggest radio hit was an unusual tune in that it was much longer than typical tracks, but perfect for FM radio at the time.
The 2016 season has given us some outstanding performers at the pitcher position, but there are only two Cy Young award winners.
