On Saturday, July 11th, pop star Christina Perri announced that she is pregnant with her second child. Siz months prior to this news, the singer songwriter was very public about her tragic miscarriage.
The announcement shows Perri’s daughter Carmella, wearing a rainbow T-shirt with the words “big sister to be” in Perri’s update, is her two-year-old daughter.”carmella is gonna be a big sister !!! our rainbow baby is coming in january,”
“We are shocked and completely heartbroken,” Perri, who hoped to “help change the story & stigma around miscarriage, secrecy and shame,” wrote at the time. “i am so sad but not ashamed. i am ever reminded how amazing and powerful women are at making life and at healing. to all the mothers who have been here and who will be here, i see you and i love you.”
