U2 Helps Raise Over £179,000 for COVID -19 Relief

On Thursday, May 21st, Island Records’ One Love COVID-19 Relief Auction raised £179,755 with one-of-a-kind donations from U2, and many other artists across all genres.

Rock band U2 offered Bono’s autographed, hand-written lyrics for the Irish rock band’s No. 1 hit from 1987 “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” which sold for a record amount of £76,000. The last-minute addition to the auction, which supports NHS Charities Together and Feeding America, helped gather 3,250 bids during the hour-long broadcast.
