On Monday, July 15th,  The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney posted a YouTube video, flexing their funnybones with a parody trailer for their own “MasterCourse.”

The duo delivers a slew of one-liners proving that they are not cut out to teach their craft, with extremely dramatic music in the background.

“Every song on a record is trying to accomplish something,” Auerbach says. “That song in particular was trying to get me a new pool.”

At one point of thr video, Carney pointed out that 4/7 is an “interesting” time signature, Auerbach rattling off the prices of his guitars, and Carney stating that he is the frontman of the band.

The Black Keys released Let’s Rock, their first album in five years, on June 28 and are embarking on an extensive North American tour this fall.
