Leading a growing sisterhood of diverse, female riders, 225 fearless bikers, brought together by Black Girls Ride (BGR) and Polaris, traveled more than 200,000 collective miles to New Orleans to meet during the largest African-American music and entertainment celebration in the country.

Black Girls Ride Founder Porshce Taylor, led the group of all female riders through the streets of downtown New Orleans in a bright pink Polaris Slingshot®. The ultimate show of girl power culminated with an outdoor party and included a Polaris Slingshot giveaway to one lucky female rider from Illinois.

“The trip to New Orleans put the spotlight on the growing family of African-American and female motorcyclists in the U.S.,” Taylor said. “We are superheroes on the road. We now have tremendous momentum to empower even more women across the country who want to celebrate their femininity and individuality by joining this motorsport movement.”

Polaris Slingshot ® is a proud supporter of BGR and sponsors the group’s cross-country trek, recognizing the growing presence of women in motorsports and embracing BGR’s role as a leader in women’s motorsports.

“Women are shaping the future of motorsports,” Polaris Marketing and Customer Engagement and Growth Manager Joey Lindahl said. “One in five women ride motorcycles, and that number is growing. This weekend in New Orleans is just the beginning of our partnership with BGR. We are proud to fuel the growing sisterhood of fierce female riders.”
