1967 – Carl Wilson (Beach Boys) went to court on draft evasion charges.

1969 – At Toronto International Airport, Jimi Hendrix was arrested for possession of hashish and heroin when he crossed the Canadian border for a concert in Toronto. He claimed the drugs were not his. He was released on $10,000 bail. His trial ended when he was acquitted on December 10.

1969 – Jimi Hendrix was arrested when Canadian customs officials found heroin in his bag.

1971 – New York City’s Philharmonic Hall at Lincoln Center announced that it would begin presenting rock, pop and jazz concerts as well as classical.

1976 – Paul McCartney made his first American stage appearance in 10 years. The “Wings Over America” tour began in Ft. Worth, TX.

1977 – Paul Simon and Phoebe Snow performed at a benefit concert for the New York Public Library.
