On Friday, April 5th, The Black Keys announced that they have canceled their performance at the Woodstock 50 festival.

”Due to a scheduling conflict, The Black Keys will unfortunately need to cancel their set at Woodstock,” the rock duo said in a statement. “The band wants to let fans know as soon as possible and before tickets go on sale.”

In March, the Black Keys released a new song entitled “Lo/Hi” and announced a 31-date North American tour with Modest Mouse. It was first new music from the duo since their 2014 album Turn Blue, though both have worked on their own separate musical projects in the interim.

The black Keys had been organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary the iconic 1969 Woodstock, alongside such bold-faced performers as Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Imagine Dragons, the Killers, Miley Cyrus and Santana. No replacement has been named at this time.

Woodstock 50 is slated to take place August 15-18, 2019 in Watkins Glen, New York. Tickets go on sale April 22.
